County Route 550 (CR 550) is a county highway in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The highway extends from Delsea Drive ( Route 47) in Maurice River Township to Shore Drive (U.S. Route 9) in Dennis Township. The road travels through Maurice River Township (Cumberland County), Dennis Township (Cape May County) and Woodbine. Route description CR 550 begins at an intersection with Route 47 in Maurice River Township, Cumberland County, heading east on two-lane undivided Leesburg-Belleplain Road. The road runs through dense woods with pockets of farms, crossing Route 347 before running through the Belleplain State Forest. CR 550 enters Dennis Township in Cape May County and becomes Hoffmans Mill Road. Belleplain State Forest
Belleplain State Forest is a New Jersey State Forest in northern Cape May County and eastern Cumberland County. It has many young pine, oak and Atlantic white cedar trees, having better soil than the northern Pine Barrens. It was established in 1928 and the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) set up camps in 1933, and converted Meisle Cranberry Bog into Lake Nummy, and constructed the original forest headquarters, maintenance building, a road system, bridges, and dams. The forest includes recreational facilities for picnicking, boating, camping, hunting and fishing, swimming, and over of walking trails. A fee is charged for camping and picnicking. On June 7, 2002, the Green Acres Program added of privately owned land to Belleplain. Cape May Seashore Lines
Cape May Seashore Lines is a short line railroad in southern New Jersey. It offers two excursion services: a round trip between Richland, New Jersey, Richland and Tuckahoe, New Jersey, Tuckahoe and a round trip between Rio Grande, New Jersey, Rio Grande, Cold Spring, New Jersey, Cold Spring Village, and Cape May City Rail Terminal, Cape May City. The track is owned by NJ Transit and leased to the Seashore Lines. Connections are provided with Conrail's Beesley's Point Secondary, owned jointly by CSX and Norfolk Southern, at the north end in Tuckahoe. County Route 557 (CR 557) is a county highway in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The highway extends from Delsea Drive ( Route 47) in Dennis Township to Main Street ( CR 555) in Franklin Township. It is also referred to as Tuckahoe Road. Route description CR 557 begins at an intersection with Route 47 in Dennis Township, Cape May County, heading northeast on two-lane undivided Washington Avenue into forested areas. The route crosses into Woodbine and enters residential areas, intersecting CR 611 and CR 550/CR 638. At the intersection with the latter, CR 557 forms a concurrency with CR 550 and the two routes pass a mix of homes and businesses as it comes to Dehirsch Avenue, where CR 550 splits from CR 557 by heading southeast on that road.
