Leesburg is a city in central Florida. The population was 20,117 at the 2010 census. As of 2019, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau was 23,671. Leesburg is in Lake County, between Lake Harris and Lake Griffin, at the head of the Ocklawaha River. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford Metropolitan Statistical Area. Lake Mack-Forest Hills is a census-designated place (CDP) in Lake County, Florida, United States. It contains the unincorporated communities of Forest Hills and Lake Mack Park. The population was 1,010 at the 2010 census, up from 989 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford Metropolitan Statistical Area. In the early morning of February 2, 2007, a tornado touched down, destroying a large portion of the community as well as killing at least 14. State Road 33 (SR 33) is a state highway running through Lake and Polk counties in Florida. Route description State Road 33 begins in Lakeland off U.S. Route 92 (US 92) east of the intersection with US 98 and heads north along the vicinity of the west bank of Lake Parker. North of there it curves to the northeast and has one of two interchanges with Interstate 4 (I-4). The first interchange (Exit 33) provides westbound access via North Socrum Loop Road ( CR 582), and eastbound access directly to SR 33.
