The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is a decentralized agency charged with the establishment, maintenance, and regulation of public transportation in the state of Florida. County Road 41 Alternate (Pasco County, Florida)
State Road 41 (SR 41) is the secret designation for U.S. Route 301 between Temple Terrace and Zephyrhills, Florida. It is known as Fort King Highway in Hillsborough County, and Fort King Road in Pasco County. Route description State Road 41 begins at Harney Road (County Road 580/ 43) at the embankment of a former railroad overpass, and curves underneath Interstate 75 with no access. It serves as the eastern terminus for State Road 582, as well as the unmarked County Road 582 in Thonotosassa. The road continues northeastward rejoining the aforementioned abandoned railroad line as both run through Hillsborough River State Park. Like much of US 301 between Bushnell and Bradenton, State Road 41 also runs parallel to the DeSoto Trail. Entering Pasco County, the road changes its name from Fort King Highway to Fort King Road. State Road 700 (SR 700) is the mostly unsigned Florida Department of Transportation state road designation of U.S. Route 98 (US 98) between Chassahowitzka (where US 98 continues northward as unsigned SR 55) and Twentymile Bend (where US 98 continues eastward as signed SR 80). The only segments of State Road 700 that are signed are between SR 50A and US 41 in Brooksville, and from Okeechobee south, through Canal Point, to SR 80. From the northernmost signed point, it's an unsigned concurrency with SR 45(US 41), then with SR 50, before rejoining US 98 at the west end of the US 98/SR 50 concurrency. Indian Lake State Forest
The Indian Lake State Forest is approximately 4,466 acres of gently rolling sandhills and pastures just north of historic Silver Springs in Marion County, Florida. This property was acquired in 2007 and 2008 under the Florida Forever program, with additional money from Marion County and help from The Nature Conservancy, Silver Springs Working Group, and the Department of Environmental Protection. Natural Features In addition to sandhills dotted with sinkholes, natural community types found on the forest include depression marshes and mesic flatwoods. Driving down State Road 326 you can see a mix of longleaf pines, sand post oaks and turkey oaks in some of the nicer sandhills on this land. Wild Waters
Wild Waters was a Water park in Silver Springs, Florida. It was the sister park of Silver Springs Nature Theme Park in Silver Springs. Because Wild Waters was adjacent to Silver Springs, it had many trees and shady areas. There were picnic areas, a snack bar, and an open-air fast food restaurant counter. The park also had a sand volleyball court and a gift shop. Wild Waters was a favorite attraction for tourists visiting the Ocala and Silver Springs area, as well as local residents. It was a small park by modern standards but offered a more relaxed atmosphere than its larger competitors. Wild Waters had a special niche; it attracted people wanting to enjoy a more traditional water park experience. It was among the first water parks in the country to use fiberglass flumes, something that has become the industry standard.
