Country Air (film)
''Country Air'' (Italian:''Aria di paese'') is a 1933 Italian comedy film directed by Eugenio de Liguoro and starring Erminio Macario, Laura Adani and Evangelina Vitaliani.Moliterno p.186 It marked the debut of Macario. An unemployed drifter takes a series of jobs, each one of which he quickly loses. He then goes to the countryside for a while where he falls in love with a woman. Eugenio De Liguoro
Eugenio de Liguoro (March 15, 1899 – June 30, 1952) was an Italian actor and film director. He was the son of Giuseppe de Liguoro, and acted in several of his films during the 1910s as well as some in the United States. He increasingly moved behind the camera, and directed the 1933 Italian comedy '' Country Air''.Moliterno p.186 His career later took him to India and Chile. His final film was the American ''Stop That Cab'', made for Lippert Pictures. Umberto Sacripante
Umberto Sacripante (2 October 1904 – 14 January 1975) was an Italian film and stage actor. Life and career Born Umberto Sacripanti in Rome, Sacripante debuted on stage in 1921, and in 1926 he became first actor in the theatrical company Teatro degli Indipendenti directed by Anton Giulio Bragaglia. He made his film debut in 1930, and in a short time he became one of the most active character actors of his time. Thanks to his good knowledge of German language, he was also often cast in German and Austrian productions. He also worked as general organizer for the production company Cines, and also was secretary of the National Syndicate of Film Actors. Personal life Sacripante was married to Assunta Lelli. Their sons Luciano and Mauro both worked in the cinema industry, respectively as film director and executive producer.
