Countdown (Dutch TV Series)
''Countdown'' is a popular Dutch music television program which was broadcast by the public broadcasting system Veronica from 1978 to 1994. It ranked as the top music television programs in all of Europe. Due the popularity of the program, one of its hosts, Adam Curry, became a celebrity. Other hosts included Simone Walraven, Jasper Faber, Erik de Zwart and Wessel van Diepen. Erik De Zwart
Erik de Zwart (born 16 June 1957 in Amsterdam) is a Dutch broadcaster, former D.J., former Music Box, The Music Factory and MTV V.J. and media entrepreneur. He was co-founder and shareholder of Radio 538 (1992) and The Music Factory (1995). Presently, Erik is chairman of ''Stichting Nederlandse Top 40'', the body that owns and exerts all broadcasting and publishing rights of the Dutch Top 40, the nation's flagship music chart and its spin-offs. Among his current major investments and interests is the media technology company Mobilaria / Tunin.FM that offers mobile streaming audio in high quality over small bandwidth GPRS mobile networks using highly advanced compression technologies. As of April 2008, Erik de Zwart also is the station voice of Radio Veronica, the present day successor of the legendary offshore pirate station under the same name.

Adam Curry
Adam Clark Curry (born September 3, 1964) is an American podcaster, announcer, Internet entrepreneur and media personality, known for his stint as a VJ on MTV and being one of the first celebrities to personally create and administer Web sites. Also known for co-hosting the ''No Agenda'' show, in the 2000s, he first became involved in podcasting, and has been called the 'Podfather' because of his efforts. Early broadcast career Curry was born in Arlington, Virginia, but lived in Amstelveen, Netherlands, from 1972 to 1987. Wessel Dietrich van Diepen (born 12 November 1966) is a Dutch radio host, music producer, voice actor and former TV presenter. Under the pseudonym DJ Delmundo, he is part of Danski & Delmundo, the production duo behind internationally famous acts like the Vengaboys and Alice Deejay. NPO 2 (''NPO twee'', formerly Nederland 2 until 2014) is a Dutch television channel, sister channel of NPO 1 and NPO 3. It was established on 1 October 1964 at 20:00, initially with a 2.5 hours schedule until 22:30. Veronica (TV Channel)
Veronica is a Dutch free-to-cable commercial television channel currently a part of Talpa TV (Talpa Network). The channel was launched as TV10 Gold on 1 May 1995, then became TV10, Fox, Fox 8 and V8, before becoming Veronica on 20 September 2003. The channel is dedicated to young adults and the male audience. Music Box (TV Channel)
Music Box was a pioneering pan-European 24-hour cable and satellite television channel that ran from 29 March 1984 to 30 January 1987, and was operated by Music Box Limited. It was originally one of three services (along with Premiere and The Children's Channel) that formed Thorn EMI's venture into satellite television as a British version of MTV, and later became part of Virgin Vision as one of Richard Branson's business ventures launched in 1983. A special Italian version of Music Box was created in the spring of 1988, and some other shows were also re-transmitted by Japanese broadcaster NHK.
