Cottonwood High School (Utah)
Cottonwood High School is a public high school located in Murray, Utah, United States. The current enrollment is nearly 1700 and is the most diverse school in the Granite School District, and one of the most diverse in the state of Utah. The school offers traditional schooling for grades nine through twelve. A portion of the building is also leased to Academy for Math, Engineering, and Science (AMES), a charter high school. History The school's mascot is the Cottonwood Colt and its colors are black, white and gold. Cottonwood High School is one of nine senior high schools in the Granite School District. The building includes a large auditorium with a maximum capacity of just over 3,000. Because of the auditorium's size, it has been used for many concerts and public functions over the years. Murray () is a city situated on the Wasatch Front in the core of Salt Lake Valley in the U.S. state of Utah. Named for territorial governor Eli Murray, it is the state's fourteenth largest city. David Litvack
David E. Litvack (born April 25, 1972) is a former Democratic member of the Utah State House of Representatives, who represented the state's 26th house district in central Salt Lake City and part of West Valley City, from 2000 through 2012. He was the minority leader in the Utah House. Early years Litvack was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Education Litvack obtained his BS in psychology/sociology from Westminster College in 1994 where he is also a current Alumni Board member. Joey Worthen (born December 3, 1979 in Salt Lake City, Utah) is a former United States, American association football, soccer player and the current head coach of the Florida Atlantic Owls men's soccer program. Career College and amateur Worthen attended Cottonwood High School (Utah), Cottonwood High School where he was named to the Parade (magazine), Parade High School All-America soccer team in 1998. He played college soccer at the University of South Carolina in 1998, but after his freshman season he withdrew from school to play for the United States men's national under-20 soccer team, United States U-20 men's national soccer team. William Swenson (born October 26, 1972) is an American actor and singer best known for his work in musical theatre. He also has developed a film career, primarily in LDS cinema. Early life Swenson was born in Provo, Utah, Provo, Utah. Two of his grandparents, James Nathan Hale and Ruth Hale (playwright and actress), Ruth Hale, were playwrights; Ruth was also an actor. Swenson moved throughout the United States during his childhood.
