Irving Cottler (February 13, 1918 – August 8, 1989), Hollywood, Los Angeles based musician was a first-call Drummer / percussionist and original member of The Wrecking Crew. Cottler credits include LOVE, Impossible, Stardust and Unforgettable recorded with Nat King Cole. Cottler is also the featured Drummer recording and performing live with Louis Armstrong, Bing Crosby, Walt Disney, Peggy Lee, Dinah Shore, Ella Fitzgerald, Neal Hefti, Nelson Riddle, Count Basie and many others. In the early days of television (1950’s), Cottler was the exclusive drummer for the NBC live television show broadcasts broadcast from Hollywood California. Cottler was the exclusive drummer for Dinah Shore. Frank Sinatra having made an appearance on the Dinah Shore show by chance was backed by Cottler’s rhythms.
