Costel Orac (born 22 January 1959) is a Romanian retired Association football, footballer and current coach. Club career Costel Orac was born on 22 January 1959 in Galați. He made his Liga I, Divizia A debut on 22 August 1976, playing for FCM Dunărea Galați, FCM Galați in a 1–0 loss against CSM Jiul Petroșani, Jiul Petroșani. He played 5 seasons in the first two leagues for FCM Dunărea Galați, FCM Galați, after which he was transferred at FC Dinamo București, Dinamo București together with teammate Nicușor Vlad. In his first three seasons spent at the club, he won the Liga I, Divizia A title in all of them, in the first he contributed with 9 goals scored in 32 matches, in the second he played 30 games and scored 4 goals and in the third he made 23 appearances and scored 5 goals. FC Steaua București was a Romanian professional football club of which two current entities are claiming the records. The original ''FC Steaua București'' team was part of the namesake CSA Steaua București sports club and belonged to the Ministry of National Defence. In 1998, the club and facilities were separated from the sports club and taken over by a group of shareholders in a post-Ceaușescu privatisation scheme, allegedly leading to one of the shareholders (Gigi Becali) acquiring full ownership five years later. However, CSA Steaua București sued the football club in 2011, claiming that this was a new entity; the two have since been in a legal conflict regarding the ownership of the Steaua brand and honours, which resulted in multiple court cases and the forced change of the name of ''FC Steaua București'' to FCSB in early 2017. The Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1, is a Romanian professional league for men's association football clubs. Currently sponsored by betting company Superbet, it is officially known as the SuperLiga.
