The 21st Central American and Caribbean Games (Spanish: ''XXI Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe, Mayagüez 2010'') took place in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, from 18 July 2010 to 1 August 2010. Bid It was understood that Mayagüez was going to be the only city to ask to hold the games, so that there was going to be no need for a vote in the assembly held in Havana, Cuba in 2004. Akmal Irgashev (born 16 December 1982) is a taekwondo athlete from Uzbekistan. He finished in 5th place at the 2008 Summer Olympics, losing in the quarter-finals to eventual champion Cha Dong-min, and then to Chika Chukwumerije in the repechage. The men's +80 kg competition in taekwondo at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing took place on August 23 at the Beijing Science and Technology University Gymnasium. Cuban competitor Ángel Valodia Matos was leading 3-2 in the bronze medal bout against Kazakhstan's Arman Chilmanov, until he apparently suffered a broken toe and was subsequently ruled to have retired after the allotted one minute of injury time expired. After a brief argument, Matos kicked referee Chakir Chelbat in the face, punched a judge in the arm and spat on the floor of the arena before he and his coach, Leudin González, who had criticized the referee's ruling as too strict and also accused Kazakhstan of bribing officials, were escorted out by security. Kristopher Moitland Cabezas (born September 2, 1983) is a two-time Olympic taekwondo practitioner, and a multiple-time Pan American Championship medalist from Costa Rica. Moitland first competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, where he was eliminated in the heavyweight division, after being defeated by France's Pascal Gentil, who eventually won the bronze medal, during the quarterfinal match, the S Class International Olympic Referee Dr. Mohamed Riad Ibrahim was the Referee of this match. At his second Olympics in Beijing, Moitland improved his tactics and strategies to kick and fight against every opponent in the men's heavyweight category (+80 kg).
