Corvus Glaive is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is a prominent member of the Black Order, a team of aliens who work for Thanos. The character has made several appearances in media, such as animated television series, video games, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe films '' Avengers: Infinity War'' and '' Avengers: Endgame'', in which he was portrayed by Michael James Shaw. Publication history The character was created by Jonathan Hickman and Jim Cheung and first appeared in ''Infinity: Free Comic Book Day'' (May 2013). The character was described by Hickman as "Thanos' most favored. Corvus is cruel, arrogant and the most loyal of the Black Order. Black Order (comics)
The Black Order is a supervillain team appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. They are a group of alien warriors with various supernatural abilities who serve Thanos. The original iteration, introduced in the 2013 '' Infinity'' storyline following a cameo appearance in '' The New Avengers'' #8 (September 2013), consists of Ebony Maw, Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight, Black Dwarf, and Supergiant, with Black Swan later joining the group as well. The Black Order have been adapted from the comics into several other forms of media, such as animated television series and video games. The group (renamed the " Children of Thanos") made their live-action debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film '' Avengers: Infinity War'' (2018). Infinity (comic Book)
"Infinity" is a 2013 comic book crossover storyline that was published by Marvel Comics. Written by Jonathan Hickman with artwork by a rotating team of artists including Jim Cheung, Jerome OpeƱa, and Dustin Weaver, the series debuted in August 2013 and ran through November 2013. The storyline concerns issues built up in multiple Marvel comic books as part of the Marvel NOW! initiative, primarily ''Avengers'' and '' New Avengers''. These issues include a threat to the universe by an ancient race of aliens known as the Builders. The second is the mysterious ailments plaguing the universe with Earth at the center. The third is the political ramifications these events have on Earth's relationship to the rest of the galactic community. The story itself involves Thanos attacking Earth while the Avengers are in space uniting the universe against the Builders, with the events of the 2013 "Age of Ultron" storyline acting as a catalyst for the rest of the universe to formally target Earth. ...
