Cornwall (soccer)
Onehunga Sports Football Club is a youth football club based in Onehunga, New Zealand. A senior side formerly competed in the Lotto Sport Italia NRFL Premier, last appearing in the competition in 2019. The club is widely regarded within New Zealand for their strong focus on youth development. In recent years, Onehunga Sports have most notably produced New Zealand internationals Sarpreet Singh, Chris Wood and Moses Dyer, and former head coach Hiroshi Miyazawa. Club history The club was founded in 1956 as Cornwall AFC, originally as a youth-oriented breakaway of Ellerslie AFC; Cornwall began play in the 1957 season, holding home games first at Auckland Domain until Fergusson Domain was made available in 1961. The club's change of name to Onehunga Sports and Soccer Club came in 1986, soon followed by the club's first promotion to the NRFL Premier in 1991. Onehunga
Onehunga is a suburb of Auckland in New Zealand and the location of the Port of Onehunga, the city's small port on the Manukau Harbour. It is south of the Auckland CBD, city centre, close to the volcano, volcanic cone of Maungakiekie / One Tree Hill. Onehunga is a residential and light-industrial suburb. There are almost 1,000 commercial and industrial businesses in the area. Onehunga stretches south from Royal Oak, New Zealand, Royal Oak to the northern shore of the Manukau Harbour. Clayton Lewis (footballer)
Clayton Rhys Lewis (born 12 February 1997 in Wellington) is a New Zealand professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Wellington Phoenix in the A-League. Club career Lewis attended St Patrick's College, Wellington from 2010 until 2014. He began his career with Wellington Olympic where he played alongside his father Barry. Lewis came into prominence in the 2013 winter season where he was a key member of the Wellington Olympic team which finished second in the Central Premier League and reached the semifinals of the Chatham Cup. Mark Elrick (born 7 April 1967 in Auckland) is a retired New Zealand soccer player who last played as a striker for Hawke's Bay United. He is mostly being used as a substitute, due to his age. He has played for several teams in his native country and came out of retirement in November 2006 to join struggling Hawke's Bay. He had been player-coach at Onehunga Sports in Auckland for the last two years. A spectator at Hawke's Bay's 2–1 loss to Waitakere United Elrick approached Jonathan Gould after the match and asked if the Park Island club would be interested in his services. Benjamin Mata (born 10 August 1998) is a Cook Islands footballer who currently plays as an defender for Wellington Olympic and the Cook Islands national team.
