Cornelius Randolph
Cornelius Cleopatrick Randolph (born July 2, 1997) is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Kane County Cougars of the American Association of Professional Baseball. Career Randolph attended Griffin High School (Georgia), Griffin High School in Griffin, Georgia. During Randolph's senior year, he hit .533 with eight home runs and a 1.631 On-base plus slugging, OPS. He committed to play college baseball for the Clemson Tigers, but after the Philadelphia Phillies selected him with the 10th pick in the first round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft, he signed with the Phillies, receiving a $3,231,300 signing bonus. Philadelphia Phillies Randolph made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast Phillies, batting .302 with one home run and 24 RBIs over 53 games. Outfielder
An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the bases. As an outfielder, they normally play behind the six players located in the field. By convention, each of the nine defensive positions in baseball is numbered. The outfield positions are 7 (left field), 8 (center field) and 9 (right field). These numbers are shorthand designations useful in baseball scorekeeping and are not necessarily the same as the squad numbers worn on player uniforms. Clearwater Threshers
The Clearwater Threshers are a Minor League Baseball team of the Florida State League and the Single-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. They are located in Clearwater, Florida, and have played their home games at BayCare Ballpark since 2004. They previously played at Jack Russell Memorial Stadium from 1985 to 2003. The team began play in 1985 as the Clearwater Phillies and were named for their Major League Baseball affiliate. Clearwater became the Threshers in 2004 when the team moved to the new Spectrum Field. Baseball Infielders
Baseball is a bat-and-ball sport played between two teams of nine players each, taking turns batting and fielding.
