The Cornelius C. Beekman House is a historic structure in Jacksonville, Oregon, United States. The house was constructed between 1870 and 1876, and the Oregon Historic Preservation Office, part of the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, places the year closer to 1873. Part of "millionaires' row" in the Jacksonville Historic District, the house was built by banker Cornelius C. Beekman Cornelius C. Beekman (January 27, 1828February 22, 1915) was a Wells-Fargo Express agent and banker in Jacksonville, Oregon, United States. He is the namesake of the Cornelius C. The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD), officially known (in state law) as the State Parks and Recreation Department, is the government agency of the U.S. state of Oregon which operates its system of state parks. In addition, it has programs to protect and provide public access to natural and historic resources within the state, including the State Historic Preservation Office, Oregon Heritage Commission, Oregon Commission on Historic Cemeteries, recreation trails, the Ocean Shores Recreation Area, scenic waterways and the Willamette River Greenway.
