Cormac Izuchukwu
Cormac Izuchukwu (born 28 January 2000) is an Irish rugby union player who plays lock for Ulster in the United Rugby Championship. He was born in London to an Irish mother and Nigerian father. He moved to Offaly when he was 7 where he and his brother and sister were raised by their mother. He started playing rugby with Tullamore RFC in Offaly, before going to Roscrea College, where he played for the first XV in the Leinster Schools Cup quarter-finals. He was offered an opportunity to try out for Connacht at under-19 level, but twisted his ankle and was unable to attend. He signed up for a coaching course in Kelso, Scotland, which included training with Newcastle Falcons. 2020–21 Ulster Rugby Season
The 2020-21 season was Ulster Rugby, Ulster's 27th season since the advent of professionalism in rugby union, and Dan McFarland's third season as head coach. Iain Henderson was captain. They competed in the Pro14, the Pro14 Rainbow Cup, the European Rugby Champions Cup and the European Rugby Challenge Cup. The Pro14 season was shortened by the COVID-19 pandemic, with the two South African teams unable to compete and the playoffs reduced to a final between the winners of the two conferences. Ulster finished second in Conference A, qualifying for next season's Champion's Cup. Scrum-half John Cooney (rugby union), John Cooney was the league's leading scorer with 115 points. Toyota Challenge
The Toyota Challenge is a rugby union competition hosted in South Africa by the Cheetahs, a team sponsored by Toyota SA. The first tournament took place at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein between 13 November and 26 November 2021. In 2021, four teams played against the Cheetahs across four matches, with a 250,000 rand prize money for each match. In addition, players were rewarded for "positive play actions" during the games, while fans were rewarded for supporting their favourite teams in the stadium and online on various social media platforms. The Cheetahs are currently without a permanent tournament, whilst the Stormers and Sharks compete in the United Rugby Championship.
