Corie Mapp
Corie Miguel Mapp (born 1978) is an international para-athlete and former Lance Corporal in The Life Guards, the senior regiment of the Household Cavalry and the British Army. He is a Para bobsleigh World Cup winner who in 2020 became Britain's first European Champion in Para Bobsleigh. Born in Bridgetown, Barbados, Mapp came to Britain in 2005 to join the Army where he was the first Barbadian to ride on the Queen's Birthday Parade (Trooping the Colour) and on other mounted State ceremonial duties. In 2008, he was posted as a combat vehicle driver to the Household Cavalry Regiment in Windsor, which was deployed to Helmand Province, Afghanistan, in late 2009. While on active duty there in early 2010 he lost both legs when his military vehicle ran over an explosive device. Mapp was unconscious for two weeks but within a month of his injury was starting to walk on prosthetic legs. Corie Andrews (born 20 September 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for National League club Wealdstone. Career Born in London, Andrews began his career with Crystal Palace, turning professional with them at the age of 17. He spent time on loan with Margate and Kingstonian. He was released by Crystal Palace at the end of the 2016–17 season. He spent the 2019–20 season with Whyteleafe, making 36 competitive appearances. He signed permanently for Kingstonian in 2020, making 12 competitive appearances for them, before returning to professional football with AFC Wimbledon in January 2021. Corie Kasoun Blount (born January 4, 1969) is an American former professional basketball player born in Monrovia, California. Career A 6'9" power forward/center, Blount starred at the University of Cincinnati during the early 1990s, where he helped his team reach the Final Four in 1992 and the Elite Eight in 1993. Corinne Stoddard (born August 15, 2001) is an American short track speed skater. She represented the United States at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Career Stoddard competed at the 2019 Inline World Junior Championship, winning a gold medal in the 10K elimination race. During the 2019–20 season, she won a bronze medal with the relay team in Shanghai, along with Maame Biney, Kristen Santos and Julie Letai.
