Corey Edward Oswalt (born September 3, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut in 2018 with the New York Mets. Career Amateur career Oswalt attended James Madison High School in San Diego, California. He was primarily an infielder in high school and initially committed to play college baseball at UC Santa Barbara. Oswalt was drafted by the New York Mets in the seventh round of the 2012 Major League Baseball draft. Professional career Oswalt made his professional debut with the Kingsport Mets and spent all of 2012 with the team, going 4–3 with an 8.15 ERA in 35.1 innings pitched, and he also pitched for them in 2013, compiling an 0–1 record and 3.46 ERA 13 innings. Lehigh Valley IronPigs
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League (IL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. They are located in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and are named in reference to pig iron, used in the manufacturing of steel, for which the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania is well known. The IronPigs play their home games at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown. Following the 2007 season, the Ottawa Lynx relocated to Allentown as the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. The Brooklyn Cyclones are a Minor League Baseball team of the South Atlantic League and the High-A affiliate of the New York Mets. They are based in the New York City borough of Brooklyn, and play at Maimonides Park, just off the Coney Island Boardwalk. Jacob Anthony deGrom (born June 19, 1988), is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the New York Mets. Prior to playing professionally, deGrom attended Stetson University and played college baseball for the Stetson Hatters.
