Cordova is an unincorporated community in Cordova Township, Le Sueur County, Minnesota, United States. The community is located along Le Sueur County Road 2, near its junction with Le Sueur County Road 5 at Gorman Lake. County Roads 7 and 11 are also in the immediate area. The Little Cannon River is nearby. Cordova had a post office from 1857 to 1907. It was platted on September 28, 1867, and incorporated on February 27, 1878, but has since returned to being an unincorporated community within Cordova Township. The Casa Monica Hotel is a historic hotel located in St. Augustine, Florida, in the United States. It was originally named Casa Monica, then Cordova Hotel, then Alcazar Annex, and now has its original name again. The Casa Monica Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in the United States and is a member of the Historic Hotels of America in the National Trust for Historic Preservation. History The hotel was opened in 1888 by Franklin W. Smith, a notable Victorian architecture enthusiast and social reformer who earned a place in Florida history for interesting Henry Flagler in investing in the state. The construction material was poured concrete, of which Franklin Smith was a leading experimenter. USS ''Cordova'' (CVE-39) (originally AVG-39 then later ACV-39) was an escort carrier launched 27 December 1942 by Seattle-Tacoma Shipbuilding of Tacoma, Washington; sponsored by Mrs. A. E. Mitchell. Cordova Mall, located in Pensacola, Florida, is the largest shopping center on the northwest Gulf Coast of Florida. Opened in 1971 and renovated twice, in 1987 and 2008/2009, Cordova Mall comprises of commercial property, with two major and six junior anchor stores. Five are situated in the mall (Dillard's, Belk, Dick's Sporting Goods, Old Navy, and Ross Dress for Less), and three are located in an open-air atmosphere (Best Buy, Bed, Bath and Beyond and World Market). Cordova is a community in Shelby County, Tennessee, United States. Cordova lies east of Memphis, north of Germantown, south of Bartlett, and northwest of Collierville at an elevation of 361 feet (110 meters). The majority of Cordova has been annexed by the City of Memphis. The remainder of Cordova is in unincorporated Shelby County, within the Memphis Annexation Reserve area. The boundaries of the Cordova community are inexact, but are generally regarded as the Wolf River on the south, Whitten Road on the west, Interstate 40 on the north, and Pisgah Road on the east. Cordova is a town in Orangeburg County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 169 at the 2010 census. Despite its small size, Cordova is home to both a High School and a Primary School, a fire department, and a single Daycare.
