HMS ''Cordella'' was a Royal Navy auxiliary mine countermeasures vessel that served during the Falklands War as part of 11th MCM Squadron. Service history F/V ''Cordella'' was a 1,238 ton fishing trawler built in 1973 by Clelands Shipbuilding Company at Wallsend, England. ''Cordella'' was one of five Hull-based trawlers that were taken up from trade by the Royal Navy in 1982 for service as naval trawlers (auxiliary MCM vessels) during the Falklands War. Lynching Of Cordella Stevenson
Cordella Stevenson was an African-American woman who was sexually assaulted and lynched by a mob of white men in Columbus, Mississippi on December 15, 1915. Lynching A barn owned by a white man, Gabe Frank, was burned down in a suspected arson attack. Stevenson's son was accused of burning the barn even though he hadn't been seen in the area for months. Local police arrested Cordella Stevenson and her husband Arch Stevenson and held them for six days hoping that she would tell them where her son was. At 10:00 PM on December 15, 1915, a mob of white men broke into their home, sexually assaulted her and hung her naked from a tree near the Mobile and Ohio Railroad. Arch escaped on foot and ran into Columbus, but was unable to obtain aid. Giacomo Cordella
Giacomo Cordella (Naples, 25 July 1786 – Naples, 8 May 1847) was an Italian composer. Biography Cordella studied in Naples with Fedele Fenaroli and Giovanni Paisiello. In 1804 he composed his first work, a cantata entitled ''La Vittoria dell'Arca contro Gerico''.Fétis, ''Biographie universelle'' With the help of Paisiello in 1805 he had the possibility to produce in Venice his first opera, ''Il ciarlatano'', which was appreciated for its comic verve and then performed in other cities in northern Italy, including Milan, Turin and Padua. Cordella continued his activity mainly in Naples, where he was appreciated for his opere buffe, while his few opere serie met with failures.
