Jean Corbeil, (January 7, 1934 – June 25, 2002) was a Canadian politician. Born in Montreal, Quebec, he was mayor of the city of Anjou from 1973 to 1988. In 1987-1988 he served a term as chairman of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. In the 1988 federal election, he was elected to the House of Commons of Canada as a Progressive Conservative in the riding of Anjou—Rivière-des-Prairies. Jean-Claude Corbeil
Jean-Claude Corbeil, (3 April 1932 – 25 January 2022) was a Canadian linguist and lexicographer. He served as head of the linguistic department at the Office québécois de la langue française from 1971 to 1977 and oversaw the introduction of Quebec's language laws during that decade. He also co-authored several visual dictionaries for Scholastic Corporation, Macmillan Publishers, Firefly Learning, and Merriam-Webster. Early life Corbeil was born in the Tétreaultville neighbourhood of Montreal on 3 April 1932. He attended Collège Sainte-Croix in his hometown. He then studied at the Université de Montréal, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1955 and a teaching degree one year later. Corbeil started working as a teacher at the end of that decade. Father Jean Jacques Corbeil was a French Canadian Roman Catholic missionary who collected and documented musical instruments of Zambia's Bemba people during the middle of the twentieth century. Josée Corbeil (born May 25, 1973 in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec) is a retired female volleyball player from Canada women's national volleyball team, who competed for her native country at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. At the age of 23, she was the youngest player of the Canadian Olympic Team. Normand Corbeil (April 6, 1956 – January 25, 2013) was a Canadians, Canadian composer known for his work on films, video games and television. Biography Corbeil won a BAFTA Award and an Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences award for composing the soundtrack for the 2010 PlayStation 3 video game, ''Heavy Rain''. Pierre Corbeil, Doctor of Dental Surgery, D.M.D. (born June 23, 1955 in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec) is a Quebec politician and dentist. He was the mayor of Val-d'Or, Quebec from 2013 to 2021. He was also a Member of National Assembly of Quebec (MNA) for Abitibi-Est (Quebec provincial electoral district), Abitibi-Est as a member of the Quebec Liberal Party and served as a cabinet minister in the government of Jean Charest. Yves Corbeil (born July 18, 1944) is a Canadian actor and television host. He is currently known as the game show host of the Loto-Québec televised show ''La Roue de Fortune'' (albeit a different version of Wheel of Fortune). He was born in Saint-Eugène, Quebec.
