Valley Parade, known as the University of Bradford Stadium for Sponsor (commercial), sponsorship reasons, is an all-seater association football, football stadium in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. Built in 1886, it was the home of Manningham F.C., Manningham Rugby Football Club until 1903, when they changed code from rugby league, rugby football to association football and became Bradford City A.F.C., Bradford City. It has been Bradford City's home since, although it is now owned by former chairman Gordon Gibb's pension fund. It has also been home to Bradford Park Avenue A.F.C., Bradford (Park Avenue) for one season, and Bradford Bulls rugby league side for two seasons, as well as host to a number of England national youth football team, England youth team fixtures. Football architect Archibald Leitch was commissioned to redevelop the ground when Bradford City were promoted to the Football League Division One, First Division in 1908. A valley is an elongated low area often running between Hill, hills or Mountain, mountains, which will typically contain a river or stream running from one end to the other. Most valleys are formed by erosion of the land surface by rivers or streams over a very long period. Some valleys are formed through erosion by glacier, glacial ice. These glaciers may remain present in valleys in high mountains or polar areas. In desert areas, valleys may be entirely dry or carry a watercourse only rarely. In karst, areas of limestone bedrock, dry valleys may also result from drainage now taking place cave, underground rather than at the surface.
