Coral Springs Fire Department
The Coral Springs Parkland Fire Department (CSPFD) provides fire protection and emergency medical services to the city of Coral Springs, Florida. With a total of 8 stations, the CSPFD is also has a contract to serve the city of Parkland located just north of Coral Springs. Three of the CSPFD's 8 stations are located within the city of Parkland. USAR The CSPFD is one of 24 departments that make up Florida Task Force 2 which is based in southern Florida. The team is designed to respond to a variety of disasters, including earthquakes, hurricanes, typhoons, storms and tornadoes, floods, dam failures, technological accidents, terrorist activities and hazardous materials releases where victims may be trapped, lost or injured. Coral Springs, officially the City of Coral Springs, is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States. The city is located approximately northwest of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Fort Lauderdale. It is a principal city of the Miami metropolitan area, which was home to an estimated 6,012,331 people at the 2015 census. Urban Search and Rescue Florida Task Force 2 or FL-TF2 is a FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Task Force based in Miami, Florida and sponsored by the Miami Fire Department. FL-TF2 was started in 1991 and is designed to respond to a variety of disasters, including earthquakes, hurricanes, and terrorist attacks. The Miami Fire Department sponsors the team, and provides administrative staff as well as warehouse space and other infrastructure needs.
