Coqueta (1983 Film)
''Coqueta'' (in English: ''Coquette'') is a 1983 Mexican musical drama film. Plot It tells the story of Rocío (Lucerito aka Lucero), an optimistic adolescent, who finds true love in Pablo (Pedrito Fernández aka Pedro Fernández). However, the innocent love of this pair is destroyed when Roció faints at her birthday party, which leads to the diagnosis of a grave heart defect. In desperation, due to the possibility of losing his beloved Roció, Pablo tries to hide his sadness, and show great bravery for the well-being of the girl he adores. Lucero (actress)
Lucero Hogaza León (; born 29 August 1969) is a Mexican singer and entertainer. She is a multi-platinum singer in Mexico and has sung in Spanish, English, and Portuguese. Lucero has sold more than 30 million records worldwide. She is often referred to as ("The Americas' sweetheart"). As a child she starred in the popular Mexican children shows '' Alegrias de Mediodia'' and '' Chispita''. She went on to release a series of successful albums. Some of her songs peaked on top of most of the Latin charts including the ''Billboard'' charts in the USA. She received her first leading role in the film '' Coqueta'' and went on to film a total of seven movies. José Martín Cuevas Cobos (born September 28, 1969), known by his stage name Pedro Fernández, is a Mexican singer, songwriter, actor, and television host. Fernández began his international career as ''Pedrito'' Fernández at the age of seven. Fernández has recorded thirty-nine albums, acted in seven soap operas, and twenty five films. He has won 4 Latin Grammy Awards. His stage name is composed of the names of two of his favorite singers, (Pedro) Infante and Vicente (Fernandez). Rodolfo Gómez Orozco (born 30 October 1950 in Delicias, Chihuahua) is a Mexican retired long-distance runner, who was one of the leading runners represented from Mexico in the 1970s and 1980s. He won the Tokyo Marathon (1981), the IAAF Citizen Golden Marathon in Athens (1982), the Rotterdam Marathon (1982), the Nike OTC Marathon (1982), the Pittsburgh Marathon (1987) and the Mexico City Marathon (1987). He gained prominence on American television in 1982 when he finished in second place, four seconds back in 2:09:33 while being the primary foil to Alberto Salazar's third victory in a row at the New York Marathon. He ran a personal best of 2:09:12 at the 1983 Tokyo Marathon, finishing third in that race. Gómez represented Mexico at three consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1976.
