Coqueiral
Coqueiral is a municipality in the south of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. In 2010 the population was 9,289 in a total area of 297 km². The municipal seat lies at an elevation of 844 meters. It became a municipality in 1948. Location Coqueiral belongs to the IBGE statistical microregion of Varginha. It is located north of Varginha and Três Pontas, west of Lavras, and northeast of Alfenas. The regional center of Varginha is 57 km. away. Economy The main economic activities are milk production, coffee growing (7,200 hectares in 2006), and the cultivation of beans, corn, and sugarcane. In 2006 there were 808 rural producers with total agricultural area of 22,649 hectares. More than 2,000 persons worked in agriculture. In the town itself there was one financial institution. Três Pontas
Três Pontas (; , ''Three Tips'') is a municipality located in southern Minas Gerais state, Brazil. It's a city with about all streets of urban zone paved and services of water and sewage to all people. The municipality has about 57 thousand inhabitants and a population density of 78,12hab/km2. The road MG-167 is the only paved road that passes through the city, but the Rodovia Fernão Dias (BR-381), is less than 50 km from the city centre passing through Varginha. The municipality don't have a rugged relief (the average level is 900m), there are only three areas in which the altitude reaches 1100m above sea level. One of them is the ''Serra de Três Pontas'' (Three Tips Mountain), a place known in the region for its distinctive shape and natural environment. Lavras is a municipality in southern Minas Gerais state, Brazil. Located at an altitude of 919 m, it has a population of 104,783 inhabitants (2020). The area of the municipality is 564.495 km2. The average annual temperature is 19.6°C and the average annual rainfall is 1,511 millimetres. Alfenas is a municipality in the southern part of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. In 2020 its population was 80,494 and the area of the municipality is 849 km2. The elevation is 888m. It is served by highways MG 179, BR 491 and BR 369. The distance to the state capital of Belo Horizonte is 335 km and the distance to São Paulo is 300 km. Human Development Index
The Human Development Index (HDI) is a statistic composite index of life expectancy, education (mean years of schooling completed and expected years of schooling upon entering the education system), and per capita income indicators, which is used to rank countries into four tiers of human development. A country scores a higher level of HDI when the lifespan is higher, the education level is higher, and the gross national income GNI (PPP) per capita is higher. It was developed by Pakistani economist Mahbub ul Haq and was further used to measure a country's development by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)'s Human Development Report Office.
