Coprinellus Disseminatus, Fairy Inkcap Mushroom
''Coprinellus'' is a genus of mushroom-forming fungi in the family Psathyrellaceae. The genus was circumscribed by the Finnish mycologist Petter Adolf Karsten in 1879. Most ''Coprinellus'' species were transferred from the once large genus '' Coprinus''. Molecular studies published in 2001 redistributed ''Coprinus'' species to ''Psathyrella'', or the segregate genera ''Coprinopsis'' and ''Coprinellus''. In 2020 Phylogenetic analysis conducted by the German mycologists Dieter Wächter & Andreas Melzer reclassified many ''Coprinellus'' species as belonging to the new genus ''Tulosesus''. Species , Index Fungorum accepted 62 species of ''Coprinellus''. In recent years many species were added to the genus having mostly been moved from '' Coprinus'' whilst numerous species were removed and placed in the genus ''Tulosesus'' in 2020. One species was moved to the monotypic genus ''Punjabia.'' The total number of accepted species has not changed greatly from the 66 in 2019 howev ...

Coprinellus Disseminatus
''Coprinellus disseminatus'' (formerly ''Coprinus disseminatus''; commonly known as "fairy inkcap". or "trooping crumble cap") is a species of agaric fungus in the family Psathyrellaceae. Unlike most other coprinoid mushrooms, ''C. disseminatus'' does not dissolve into black ink (''deliquesce'') in maturity. The species was given its current name in 1939 by Jakob Emanuel Lange. ''Coprinellus disseminatus'' has about 143 sexes (mating types In biology, mating is the pairing of either opposite-sex or hermaphroditic organisms for the purposes of sexual reproduction. ''Fertilization'' is the fusion of two gametes. ''Copulation'' is the union of the sex organs of two sexually reproduc ...). The species is nonpoisonous. Tulosesus
''Tulosesus'' is a genus of fungi in the family Psathyrellaceae. Taxonomy The ''Tulosesus'' genus was created in 2020 by the German mycologists Dieter Wächter & Andreas Melzer when the Psathyrellaceae family was subdivided based on phylogenetic analysis. Many members of the ''Coprinellus'' genus were reclassified as ''Tulosesus''. The type species, '' Tulosesus callinus'' was previously classified as ''Coprinellus callinus.'' Etymology This genus name is an anagram of setulosus, Latin for having coarse hair or bristles. Species , Index Fungorum accepted 39 species of ''Tulosesus''. Index Fungorum
''Index Fungorum'' is an international project to index all formal names ( scientific names) in the fungus kingdom. the project is based at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, one of three partners along with Landcare Research and the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is somewhat comparable to the International Plant Names Index (IPNI), in which the Royal Botanic Gardens is also involved. A difference is that where IPNI does not indicate correct names, the ''Index Fungorum'' does indicate the status of a name. In the returns from the search page a currently correct name is indicated in green, while others are in blue (a few, aberrant usages of names are indicated in red). All names are linked to pages giving the correct name, with lists of synonyms. ''Index Fungorum'' is one of three nomenclatural repositories recognized by the Nomenclature Committee for Fungi; the others are ''MycoBank'' and ''Fungal Names''. ''Coprinellus xanthothrix'' is a species of fungus in the family Psathyrellaceae. This species was isolated from a polyphenol-polluted site near an olive processing plant in Greece.
