	Copmanhurst Shire Copmanhurst Shire was a local government area in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia. Copmanhurst Shire was proclaimed on 7 March 1906, one of 134 shires created after the passing of the ''Local Government (Shires) Act 1905''. The shire offices were in Grafton. Other towns and villages in the shire included Copmanhurst and Myrtle. The council services an area of and draws its name from the Clarence River, which flows through most of the council area. The area under management is adjacent to the Pacific Highway, the Gwydir Highway and the North Coast railway line.
