LNFA 2020
The 2020 LNFA season is the 26th season of American football in Spain. Badalona Dracs are the defending champions. Competition format For the 2020 season, ten teams joined the league. Valencia Firebats and Granada Lions resigned to their place, while L'Hospitalet Pioners replaced Santiago Black Ravens, relegated from the previous season. The teams were divided into two groups of five, according to geographical criteria. All teams play ten games during the regular season: two games (home and away) against each other team in their group, plus two inter-group games (against one team of each other group). At the end of the regular season, the best three teams in each group qualify for the playoffs. Final position in the aggregate table will determine seeding for the playoffs. LNFA 2019
The 2019 LNFA season was the 25th season of American football in Spain. It began on 19 January 2019 and ended 25 May 2019 with the LNFA Bowl. Badalona Dracs successfully defended their title from the previous season, defeating Las Rozas Black Demons in the LNFA Bowl. Competition format For the 2019 season, the league was reduced to twelve teams. Valencia Giants, Santurtzi Coyotes, L'Hospitalet Pioners and Alicante Sharks declined to continue at Serie A, while Fuengirola Potros and Zaragoza Hurricanes joined the league. The teams were divided into three groups of four, according to geographical criteria. All teams play eight games during the regular season: two games (home and away) against each other team in their group, plus two inter-group games (against one team of each other group). The 2018 LNFA season is the 24th season of American football in Spain. Teams were divided into two categories, named Serie A and B. Badalona Dracs are the defending champions. LNFA Serie A Competition format changes The FEFA agreed to expand the Serie A to three groups of five teams according to geographical criteria, for reducing the economical costs for the clubs. After the resignation of runners-up Reus Imperials to continue playing the league due to financial difficulties only two days before the start of the season, the Group A was reduced to four teams. The Valencia Firebats are a gridiron team based in Valencia, Valencian Community (Spain). History The team was established in April, 1993, as Valencia Bats, joining the defunct ''American Football League (AFL)'' for the 1994 season. The following season a new national league is created in Spain, divided in two divisions, First and Second. Valencia Bats are invited to compete in the First Division, where they have been playing ever since. Rivas Osos (''Rivas Bears'' in English language) is an American football team based in Rivas-Vaciamadrid, Community of Madrid (Spain).
