Copa Luis Villarejo
The Copa Luis Villarejo is an association football in Puerto Rico. Created in 2016, it is open to all clubs that are affiliated with the Puerto Rican Football Federation. History 1st cup A new domestic cup tournament, the Copa Luis Villarejo, was inaugurated and involved teams from the Liga Nacional de Fútbol de Puerto Rico (LNF), the second tier Puerto Rico Soccer League (PRSL), as well as Puerto Rico FC of the North American Soccer League (NASL), a second tier league sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation. On November 17 2016, Puerto Rico FC (PRFC) escaped with a 1-0 win over Bayamón FC (BFC) in the second leg to complete a 4–0 aggregate victory in the semifinal round of the First Luis Villarejo Cup, Senior Men's category, of the Puerto Rican Football Federation (FPF). Hurricane Irma was an extremely powerful Cape Verde hurricane that caused widespread destruction across its path in September 2017. Irma was the first Category 5 hurricane to strike the Leeward Islands on record, followed by Maria two weeks later. Bayamón Fútbol Club is a Puerto Rican professional football club. The team is based in Bayamón and founded in 1999. They play their home games at Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium. The club is a member of David Villa's DV7 Soccer Academy. History 1999–2005 Bayamón FC was formed in 1999. They began to play in the Liga Mayor de Fútbol Nacional. They were very successful during their period in the league, becoming champions in the years 2000 and 2002, second place in 2003 and third place in 2004. Juan Ramón Loubriel Stadium (Spanish: ''Estadio Juan Ramón Loubriel'') is a soccer-specific stadium located in Bayamón, Puerto Rico.
