Nowendoc is a parish and village on the Northern Tablelands, New South Wales, Australia. It is 360 km north of the state capital, Sydney, 66 km south of Walcha in the Walcha Shire local government area. A sealed road, Thunderbolts Way, is about three hundred metres to the south of Nowendoc and provides links to the south and north. History In 1836 William Telfer marked a tree line from Gloucester through Giro on the Barnard River, over Hungry Hill to Nowendoc and on to Ogunbil via Whites Sugarloaf. The Australian Agricultural Company (AACo) set up stations and resting places for their travelling sheep along this route to be known as the ‘Peel Line’. Walcha () is a town at the south-eastern edge of the Northern Tablelands, New South Wales, Australia. The town serves as the seat of Walcha Shire. Walcha is located by road from Sydney at the intersection of the Oxley Highway and Thunderbolts Way. The Apsley River passes through the town to tumble over the Apsley Falls before joining the Macleay River further on. Originally the river caused flooding in the town prior to a levee bank being constructed and saving the town from more floods. At the , Walcha had a population of 1,451 people. Cooplacurripa Station
Cooplacurripa Station is a pastoral lease that operates as a cattle station in Cooplacurripa, New South Wales. It is situated approximately north of Gloucester and west of Kendall. The Cooplacurripa River runs through the property, which is situated in a high rainfall valley area. It is one of the largest cattle stations on the eastern seaboard. The Australian Agricultural Company has had links with the property dating back as far as 1846. In 1950 the property was acquired by Ivan Norrie Livermore when it occupied an area of . Over two years at a cost of 35,000 pounds he destroyed an estimated 500,000 rabbits; subsequently the property was soon able to support a herd of 10,000 cattle.
