Coolidge Stores Building
The Coolidge Stores Building (also known as Landmark Tavern) is a historic commercial building located on US 20 in Bouckville, Madison County, New York. Description and history It is a 2 1/2 story, Greek Revival style cobblestone building constructed in 1851. It is irregular in plan, featuring four, three-bay wide facades arranged in an arc of less than 90-degrees. Each of the four segments corresponds to an original store space with a wedge shaped floor plan. An unusual hexagonal cupola rises from the center of the roof. Madison is a town in Madison County, New York, United States. The population was 3,008 at the 2010 census. The Town of Madison contains a village also named Madison. The town is near the eastern border of the county. History Settlement began ''circa'' 1794. The town was formed in 1807 from a portion of the Town of Hamilton. Madison is well known because of the Madison Wind Farm, built in 2000. Darwin D. Martin, a Larkin Company executive, was born in Bouckville in 1865. Geography The northern and eastern town lines are the border of Oneida County. US Route 20 passes across the town. Madison County is a county located in the U.S. state of New York. As of the 2020 census, the population was 68,016. Its county seat is Wampsville. The county is named after James Madison, the fourth president of the United States, and was first formed in 1806. Madison County is part of the Syracuse metropolitan area.
