''#Cookie Jar'' ''(Hashtag Cookie Jar)'' is the debut Japanese extended play and the by South Korean girl group Red Velvet. Following the group's initial Japan showcase in October 2017, SM Entertainment announced that the group would "formally" debut in Japan in July 2018 with a Japanese release. The extended play was then released on July 4, 2018, by Avex Trax and features a total of six Japanese tracks; containing three re-recorded versions of their previous hits – namely " Dumb Dumb", " Russian Roulette", and "Red Flavor", while also featuring three original Japanese tracks. Background and release On May 23, 2018, the group announced the release of their debut Japanese album titled ''#Cookie Jar'' for July 4, through their official Japanese website, declaring it to be their first mini-album in the region. Red Velvet (Korean: 레드벨벳; romanized: ''Ledeubelbet''; Japanese: レッドベルベット; romanized: ''Reddoberubetto'') is a South Korean girl group formed and managed by SM Entertainment. LDN Noise (pronounced ''London Noise'') is a British songwriting and record production duo based in London, England. Consisting of songwriter Greg Bonnick and DJ Hayden Chapman, the duo has worked with artists such as Nathan Sykes, Nick Jonas and Chris Brown since 2012, most notably having co-written the 2012's number-one UK hit " Turn Up the Music" for the latter artist. Justin Jesso (born Justin Stein) is an American singer and songwriter. He has written songs for Hrvy, AJ Mitchell, Backstreet Boys, The Backstreet Boys and Armin van Buuren. He was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2017 Latin Grammy Awards for co-writing Ricky Martin's single "Vente Pa' Ca" (2016).
