Conveyor Tower
A conveyor system is a common piece of mechanical handling equipment that moves materials from one location to another. Conveyors are especially useful in applications involving the transport of heavy or bulky materials. Conveyor systems allow quick and efficient transport for a wide variety of materials, which make them very popular in the material handling and packaging industries. They also have popular consumer applications, as they are often found in supermarkets and airports, constituting the final leg of item/ bag delivery to customers. Many kinds of conveying systems are available and are used according to the various needs of different industries. There are chain conveyors (floor and overhead) as well. Chain conveyors consist of enclosed tracks, I-Beam, towline, power & free, and hand pushed trolleys. Industries where used Conveyor systems are used widespread across a range of industries due to the numerous benefits they provide. * Conveyors are able to safely tra ...

Tubular Gallery
A Tubular Gallery is a large diameter, round, tubular steel structure used to enclose a troughed conveyor belt. It is typically an elevated structure used to span over roadways, rivers or creeks or for use in shiploader systems. Applications Tubular Gallery conveyors are used when a product needs to be isolated from its surrounding environment during transport. Power, cement, petroleum by-product, bio-fuel, coal, agricultural and ship loading are a few of the industries and applications that commonly use Tubular Gallery conveyors. A cost-effective alternative to the Tubular Gallery System is a totally enclosed air supported belt conveyor. Comparison to covered truss conveyors The Tubular Gallery is distinct from covered truss conveyors. Tubular Galleries consist of a completed assembly (which may include the conveyor, air and water piping, lights, and venting) which is assembled in the shop and shipped in completed sections. As a result, it takes much less time and labor to ere ...

Tube Chain Conveyor
A tube chain conveyor moves materials inside a tube, pulled by a chain. It offers a convenient way for conveying bulk material from one location to another, and also multi-axially. Tube chain conveyors are used for transporting, feeding, dosing, distributing and discharging pourable bulk materials. Construction The material chosen for the transport discs screwed on support discs to a round link chain depends in particular on design parameters such as the material to be transported and the temperature. Tube chain conveyors transport material volumetrically from the inlet to the outlet inside the transport tube. Specification The customer is responsible for the correctness of the bulk material and operational parameters on which the design is based, and has to ensure that these parameters are observed when the plant is in operation. Advantages Cleanliness The enclosed construction ensures that the material is transported in a dust free and non-polluting way. Self-cleaning is achi ...

Screw Conveyor
A screw conveyor or auger conveyor is a mechanism that uses a rotating helical screw blade, called a "''flighting''", usually within a tube, to move liquid or granular materials. They are used in many bulk handling industries. Screw conveyors in modern industry are often used horizontally or at a slight incline as an efficient way to move semi-solid materials, including food waste, wood chips, aggregates, cereal grains, animal feed, boiler ash, meat, and bone meal, municipal solid waste, and many others. The first type of screw conveyor was the Archimedes' screw, used since ancient times to pump irrigation water. They usually consist of a trough or tube containing either a spiral blade coiled around a shaft, driven at one end and held at the other, or a "''shaftless spiral''", driven at one end and free at the other. The rate of volume transfer is proportional to the rotation rate of the shaft. In industrial control applications, the device is often used as a variable rate f ...

Lineshaft Roller Conveyor
A lineshaft roller conveyor or line-shaft conveyor is, as its name suggests, powered by a shaft beneath rollers. These conveyors are suitable for light applications up to 50 kg such as cardboard boxes and tote boxes. A single shaft runs below the rollers running the length of the conveyor. On the shaft are a series of spools, one spool for each roller. An elastic polyurethane o-ring belt runs from a spool on the powered shaft to each roller. When the shaft is powered, the o-ring belt acts as a chain between the spool and the roller making the roller rotate. The rotation of the rollers pushes the product along the conveyor. The shaft is usually driven by an electrical motor that is generally controlled by an electronic PLC (programmable logic controller). The PLC electronically controls how specific sections of the conveyor system interact with the products being conveyed. Advantages of this conveyor are quiet operation, easy installation, moderate maintenance and low expens ...

Electric Track Vehicle System
ETV system at University library Regensburg, Germany An electric track vehicle system (ETV) is a conveyor system for light goods transport. The system uses independently driven vehicles traveling on a monorail track network, consisting of straight track elements, bends, curves and transfer-units for changing of travel direction. Vehicles in an ETV system transport payloads up to 50 kg both vertical and horizontal in buildings and manufacturing plants. ETV systems were primarily put on the market in the sixties by German company Telelift. Later additional companies like Siemens or Thyssen engaged in this business. Initially, electric track vehicle systems were designed for documents transport and mail distribution in office buildings and headquarters. Later, further applications were designed for hospitals, libraries, printing plants, retail stores and material handling in manufacturing plants. Mainly transported goods are: * Hospital: blood plasma, lab samples, pharmaceuti ...
