Continuum (measurement)
Continuum theories or models explain variation as involving gradual quantitative transitions without abrupt changes or discontinuities. In contrast, categorical theories or models explain variation using qualitatively different states. In physics In physics, for example, the space-time continuum model describes space and time as part of the same continuum rather than as separate entities. A spectrum in physics, such as the electromagnetic spectrum, is often termed as either continuous (with energy at all wavelengths) or discrete (energy at only certain wavelengths). Q Continuum
Q is a fictional character, as well as the name of a race, in ''Star Trek'' appearing in the ''Next Generation'', ''Deep Space Nine'', ''Voyager'', ''Lower Decks'', and '' Picard'' series and in related media. The most familiar Q is portrayed by John de Lancie. He is an extra-dimensional being of unknown origin who possesses immeasurable power over time, space, the laws of physics, and reality itself, being capable of altering it to his whim. Despite his vast knowledge and experience spanning untold eons (and much to the exasperation of the object of his obsession), he is not above practical jokes for his own personal amusement, for a Machiavellian or manipulative purpose, or to prove a point. ''Continuum'' is a compilation album by Mentallo & The Fixer, released on November 14, 1995 by Metropolis Records. Music ''Continuum'' comprises remastered tracks and remixes from Mentallo & The Fixer's recording sessions circa 1990 to 1993. The collection also draws from the band's first two releases, 1991's ''Wreckage + Ruin + & + Regrets + (Redemption)'' and 1992's '' No Rest for the Wicked''. On February 16, 2018 the album was issued as a music download by Alfa Matrix on the label's Bandcamp. Reception Sonic Boom was somewhat positive towards ''Continuum'', calling the album "more of a greatest hits & misses compilation released so that the fans might have an idea of where the band has come from musically" and that "some tracks have the distinct MATF feel to them and others are quite unlike anything else they have ever written before."
