The Consultive Junta ( es, Junta Consultiva) was the government of Federal Republic of Central America, Central America from its Act of Independence of Central America, declaration of independence from the Spanish Empire on 15 September 1821 until its dissolution on 21 February 1822. The junta was led by Guatemalan General Gabino Gaínza. On 5 January 1822, the junta voted for Central America under Mexican rule, annexation to the First Mexican Empire. First Mexican Empire
The Mexican Empire ( es, Imperio Mexicano, ) was a constitutional monarchy, the first independent government of Mexico and the only former colony of the Spanish Empire to establish a monarchy after independence.
