Conor Leen
Conor Leen (born 2002) is an Irish hurler. At club level he plays with Corofin and at inter-county level with the Clare senior hurling team with whom he won an All-Ireland Senior Hurling medal after extra time one point victory vs Cork on 21st July, 2024, final score 3.29 to 1.34. Career Leen played schools hurling while a student at Ennistymon CBS. At club level, he played in the various underage grades with the Corofin/ Ruan amalgamation and won consecutive Clare MAHC titles in 2019 and 2020, as well as a Clare U21AHC title in 2021. Leen progressed to adult level and won a Clare IHC medal in 2023. Leen first appeared on the inter-county scene with Clare as a member of the minor team beaten by Limerick in the 2019 Munster MHC final. He later spent two seasons with the under-20 team. All-Ireland Under-20 Hurling Championship
The GAA Hurling Under-20 All-Ireland Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Bord Gáis Energy GAA Hurling Under-20 All-Ireland Championship) is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in Ireland. The championship was contested as the All-Ireland Under-21 Championship between 1964 and 2018 before changing to an under-20 age category from 2019. The final, currently held on the fourth Sunday in August, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during the summer months, and the results determine which team receives the James Nowlan Cup. The Sunday Game
''The Sunday Game'' is RTÉ's main Gaelic games television programme. It is shown on RTÉ2 every Sunday during the Football Championship and Hurling Championship seasons. It is one of RTÉ2's longest-running shows, having been on air since 1979, one year after the channel first began broadcasting. It celebrated its 30th season in 2008. 2024 National Hurling League
The 2024 National Hurling League (NHL), known for sponsorship reasons as the Allianz Hurling League (AHL), was the 93rd season of the National Hurling League, an annual hurling competition held in Ireland for county teams. Three English county teams also feature. On 6 April, Clare defeated Kilkenny by 3-16 to 1-20 to win the final. 2024 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship
The 2024 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship is due to be the 137th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county hurling tournament, since its establishment in 1887. The 2024 championship is scheduled to begin with county tournaments in April and end with the All-Ireland Final on 21 July. Limerick will enter the championship as defending champions having won the previous four championships. National Hurling League
The National Hurling League is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system. The league has 35 teams divided into six divisions, with either five or six teams in each division. Promotion and relegation between these divisions is a central feature of the league. Although primarily a competition for Irish teams, teams from England – currently Lancashire GAA, Lancashire, London GAA, London and Warwickshire GAA, Warwickshire – also take part, while in the past New York GAA, New York also fielded a team for the latter stages of the league.
