Conor Cooney
Conor Cooney (born 22 October 1992) is an Irish hurler who plays for Galway Senior Championship club St Thomas's and at inter-county level with the Galway senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a full-forward. Playing career Gort Community School Cooney first came to prominence as a hurler with Gort Community School. He played in every grade of hurling before eventually joining the school's senior team. On 8 March 2008, he won a Connacht Colleges Championship medal as a non-playing substitute following Gort's 2-16 to 0-15 defeat of Mercy Colleges in the final. After breaking onto the starting fifteen, Cooney lined out at midfield when Gort Community School faced Portumna Community School in the Connacht final on 21 March 2009. He scored four points from frees and claimed a second winners' medal - his first on the field of play - after a 2-14 to 0-08 victory. St Thomas's GAA
Saint Thomas's Gaelic Athletic Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the Kilchreest and Peterswell areas of County Galway, Ireland. They won the All-Ireland Senior Club championship in 2013 and are the current Galway senior hurling champions. The club is exclusively concerned with the game of hurling. They won their first ever Galway senior hurling championship in 2012. In February 2013 they advanced to the final of the All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship after a 0–15 to 0–7 win against Loughgiel Shamrocks. They beat Offaly side Kilcormac/Killoughey to win the All Ireland on Saint Patrick's Day 2013 in Croke Park. 2010 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship
The 2010 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 80th staging of the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. The championship began on 10 April and ended on 5 September 2010. Galway entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were beaten by Kilkenny in the All-Ireland semi-final. On 5 September 2010, Kilkenny won the championship after a 2-10 to 0-14 defeat of Clare in the All-Ireland final at Croke Park. All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship
The GAA Hurling All-Ireland Minor Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Electric Ireland GAA Hurling All-Ireland Minor Championship) is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players under the age of 17 in Ireland and has been contested every year - except for a three-year absence during the Emergency - since 1928. The final, currently held on the third Sunday in August, is the culmination of a series of games played during July and August, with the winning team receiving the Irish Press Cup. James Regan (hurler)
James Regan (born 7 February 1991) is an Irish sportsman. He plays hurling with his local club St Thomas's and has been a member at senior level of the Galway county team since 2011. Playing career Club Regan plays his club hurling with St Thomas's. He made his senior debut in 2006 while he was still an underage player. Inter-county Regan first played for Galway at minor level in 2009. It was a successful year for the young Tribesmen as they reached the All-Ireland final. Kilkenny provided the opposition; however, Galway won by 2-15 to 2-11 giving Regan an All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship medal. The following year Regan joined the county under-21 team. The 2019 Galway Senior Hurling Championship was the 122nd staging of the Galway Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment in 1887. Liam Mellows GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Renmore, a suburb of Galway (city), Galway City, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The club is primarily concerned with the game of hurling. The club is named after IRB member Liam Mellows.
