Conor Burke (baseball)
Conor O. Burke is a baseball coach and former outfielder, who is the current head baseball coach of the Iona Gaels. He played college baseball at Suffolk County Community College and Guilford Technical Community College before transferring to Queens where he played from 2011 to 2012. Playing career Burke attended St. Dominic High School, in Oyster Bay, New York, and played college baseball at Suffolk County Community College and Guilford Technical Community College. As a sophomore at Guilford Tech, Burke batted .194 with one homerun and 2 RBI. For his final two years of college baseball, Burke transferred to Queens College. As a junior, Burke batted .252 with one homerun and 12 RBI. Coaching career Immediately following the conclusion of his playing career, Burke joined the coaching staff of his alma mater, Queens College. The Iona Gaels baseball team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of Iona University in New Rochelle, New York, United States. The team is a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. Steve Trimper
Steve Trimper is an American college baseball coach who is currently the head coach for the Stetson Hatters baseball team out of the ASUN Conference. Previously, he served as the head coach at Maine from 2006 to 2016 and Manhattan from 1999 to 2005. An alumnus of Eastern Connecticut State University, Trimper played baseball there from 1990 to 1992 and was a member of the Warriors' 1990 Division III national championship team. Coaching career Assistant coaching After he graduated from Eastern Connecticut in 1992, Trimper worked for two years as the associate head coach at Division III Wentworth. His first Division I position came at Vermont, where he served as an assistant under head coach Bill Currier from 1995 to 1998.
