Connor Grey
Connor Grey (born May 6, 1994) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He is currently a phantom ballplayer, having spent five days on the New York Mets' active roster without appearing in a major league game. Career Arizona Diamondbacks Grey graduated from Frewsburg High School in Frewsburg, New York, in 2012. He attended St. Bonaventure University, where he played college baseball for the St. Bonaventure Bonnies. Grey posted a 4.12 earned run average (ERA) over four seasons. Grey was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 20th round, with the 599th overall selection, of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft. He made his professional debut for the rookie–level Missoula Osprey, and was later promoted to the Low–A Hillsboro Hops, for whom he made 6 scoreless appearances. The Visalia Rawhide are a Minor League Baseball team of the California League and the Single-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. They are located in Visalia, California, and have played their home games at Valley Strong Ballpark since their inception in 1946. Deven Sommer Marrero (born August 25, 1990) is an American professional baseball infielder who is a free agent. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Boston Red Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks, Miami Marlins and New York Mets. Early years Marrero graduated from American Heritage School, a private school in Plantation, Florida. He enrolled at Arizona State University, and played college baseball for the Arizona State Sun Devils. A player who is designated for assignment is immediately removed from the team's 40-man roster, after which the team must within seven days, return the player to the 40-man roster, place the player on waivers, trade the player, release the player, or outright the player from the 40-man roster into Minor League Baseball. The Brooklyn Cyclones are a Minor League Baseball team of the South Atlantic League and the High-A affiliate of the New York Mets. An independent baseball league is a professional baseball organization in the United States or Canada that is not overseen by Major League Baseball and is outside the Minor League Baseball clubs affiliated to it.
