Connor Anderson
Connor Anderson (born 13 May 1996) is an Australian rugby union player who plays for the in Super Rugby. His playing position is flanker. He was named in the Reds squad for the 2023 Super Rugby Pacific season. He previously represented in the 2019 National Rugby Championship. Anderson was born in Brisbane and represents Wests in the Queensland Premier Rugby. He was named in the Queensland U20 squad in 2016 and earned selection for in 2019. 2022 was a breakout year for Anderson, winning the Hospital Cup with Wests and winning the Alec Evans Medal for best player, earning him selection for the Reds pre-season tour to Japan. Flanker (rugby Union)
Flanker is a position in the sport of rugby union. Each team of 15 players includes two flankers, who play in the Forwards (rugby union), forwards, and are generally classified as either List of rugby union terms#B, blindside or List of rugby union terms#O, openside flankers, numbers 6 and 7 respectively. The name comes from their position in a Scrum (rugby union), scrum in which they 'flank' each set of forwards. Wests Rugby Union Club or Wests is an Australian rugby union club, based in Toowong, that competes in the Queensland Premier Rugby competition. The bulk of Wests' players are drawn from the western suburbs of Brisbane where local rivals GPS and University, only a few suburbs away, also compete for players. Super Rugby is a men's professional rugby union club competition involving teams from Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. It previously included teams from Argentina, Japan, and South Africa. Queensland Premier Rugby is a semi professional club rugby union competition in Queensland, Australia. Nine clubs play in the competition, eight of which are from Brisbane with one club from the Gold Coast. The premiership has been contested in its present form since 1929. Saitama Wild Knights (formerly Panasonic Wild Knights) is a Japanese rugby union team formerly based in Ōta city, Gunma prefecture which plays in the Top League.
