Connie (The Walking Dead)
Connie is a fictional character in the comic book series '' The Walking Dead'' and the television series of the same name, where she is portrayed by Lauren Ridloff. In both universes, Connie is part of a small group of roaming survivors which is led by Magna, and is the first deaf character in ''The Walking Dead'' universe; the actress who plays her, Lauren Ridloff is deaf in real life. Appearances Comic book series Connie is part of a group of survivors from Richmond who joins the Alexandria Safe-Zone two years after the fall of Negan and the Saviors. At the beginning of the apocalypse, Connie is one of many survivors who arrive at a nursing home near Washington D.C. Lauren Ridloff
Lauren Ridloff (; born April 6, 1978) is a deaf American actress known for her roles as Connie in the TV series '' The Walking Dead'' and Makkari in the film '' Eternals''. Her breakthrough role was in 2018 with her lead performance in the Broadway play '' Children of a Lesser God'', for which she was nominated for several awards, including a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play. She was subsequently cast in ''The Walking Dead'' as Connie in its ninth season that aired in late 2018. In ''Eternals'', released in 2021, she played the deaf superhero Makkari. "Silence the Whisperers" is the fourth episode of the tenth season of the post-apocalyptic horror television series '' The Walking Dead'', which aired on AMC on October 27, 2019. Plot At Hilltop, a tree falls across the fence line and onto a barn, trapping people inside while walkers start to invade via the gap.
