Connect (Sick Puppies Album)
''Connect'' is the fourth studio album by Australian band Sick Puppies, released on 16 July 2013 by Capitol Records. This was the last album to feature lead vocalist and guitarist Shimon Moore prior to his dismissal on 20 October 2014. The album debuted at No. 17 on the ''US Billboard 200'' album chart, their highest charting position to date, with 18,195 copies sold. ''Connect'' sold 16,318 albums in its first week. A preview of the first single "There's No Going Back" was released on YouTube on 10 May 2013. The single was released on 20 May 2013. Sick Puppies
Sick Puppies are an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1997. After releasing their debut album '' Welcome to the Real World'' in 2001, the band rose to prominence in 2006 when their song " All the Same" was uploaded, along with a video, to YouTube. The video supported the Free Hugs Campaign, which was launched in Sydney by Juan Mann, and has since received over 78 million views on the website. This success was followed up with their second studio album, '' Dressed Up as Life'', in 2007, which entered the ''Billboard'' 200 at number 181. Stephen Thomas Erlewine (; born June 18, 1973) is an American music critic and former senior editor for the online music database AllMusic. He is the author of multiple artist biographies and record reviews for AllMusic, as well as a freelance writer, occasionally contributing liner notes. Erlewine was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and is a nephew of the former musician and AllMusic founder Michael Erlewine. Scott Stevens is an American-born songwriter, producer, singer and instrumentalist. In April 2015, he signed an exclusive publishing deal with Lava Music Publishing, a venture with Kobalt Publishing. He co-wrote eight songs on the 2015 Halestorm album, ''Into the Wild Life'', which debuted at number 5 on the Billboard 200. Mark Goodwin (born July 17, 1984) is an American drummer. He is best known as the drummer for the Australian rock band Sick Puppies. Biography Goodwin grew up in Orange County in California and started playing the drums when he was 12 years old. As he never took drumming lessons, he watched as many drummers as he could and listened to music and drums constantly. Before moving to Los Angeles after high school, he played drums in several local bands. Musical career Sick Puppies (2003–present) Mark joined Sick Puppies in 2003 after their drummer, Chris Mileski left the band prior to Sick Puppies moving to the United States.
