Connacht Senior Club Football Championship
The Connacht Senior Club Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football tournament played between senior clubs in Connacht, with one qualifying from each of the five individual county championships. The winners of the Connacht football championship qualify for the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship. History The Connacht Senior Club Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football tournament played on a knockout basis between the senior club championship winners of the competing counties in Connacht, with the addition of the London champions since 2018. Prior to this, the London champions entered the all-Ireland series at the quarter final stage. The current holders of the title are Padraig Pearses of Roscommon. While a provincial competition existed prior to 1970, Galway side Fr. Griffins were the first winners of the competition in its current format, in the 1970–71 season. Moycullen GAA
Moycullen GAA ( ga, CLG Maigh Cuilinn) is a group title for several Gaelic Athletic Association clubs based in Moycullen, County Galway. The three clubs, Cumann Peile Mhaigh Cuilinn (Moycullen Football Club), Cumann Iománaíocht Maigh Cuilinn (Moycullen Hurling Club) and Cumann Camógaíocht Mhaigh Cuilinn (Moycullen Camogie Club) share playing facilities and cooperate on a number of the local community and sporting issues. The clubs are members of the Galway GAA. There are two other clubs in the parish with indirect GAA affiliations, Moycullen Ladies Football Club and Moycullen Handball Club, who also share the club facilities. The club facilities are situated in the townland of Baile Dóite and include two full-size pitches, a 25 square metre all-weather pitch, a 20-metre double-sided practice wall, a 200 capacity covered stand, player changing facilities and some small meeting rooms. 2021–22 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship
The 2021–22 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship was the 51st staging of the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county club football tournament. It was the first club championship to be organised in two years as the 2020-21 championship was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The championship began on 21 November 2021 and ended on 12 February 2022. Corofin were the previous champions having won the 2019–20 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship. Corofin were beaten in the 2021 Galway final and were not able to defend their All-Ireland title. On 12 February 2022, Kilcoo won the championship. They defeated Kilmacud Crokes after extra time by 2-08 to 0-13 in the All-Ireland final at Croke Park. Castlebar Mitchels GAA
Castlebar Mitchels is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the Castlebar area in County Mayo, Ireland. The club was founded in 1885 and is named after the nationalist John Mitchel (1815–1875). Though football is the club's dominant sport, hurling is also played. The club's name is a source of controversy, due to Mitchel's racism, advocacy of slavery and support for the Confederate States of America. Dunmore MacHales GAA ( ga, CLG Dún Mhór Mhic Eil) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Dunmore, County Galway, Ireland. The club is a member of Galway GAA. Teams at underage and Intermediate level play in the Galway League and Championships. Though the McHales are the first team to have won the Galway Senior Championship in 1889 the club has not won the Frank Fox cup in almost four decades, last winning the championship in 1983.
