''Confession Under Four Eyes'' (German: ''Geständnis unter vier Augen'') is a 1954 West German crime drama film directed by André Michel and starring Hildegard Knef, Carl Raddatz and Ivan Desny.Broadbent & Hake p.123 It was shot at Göttingen Studios and on location in Hamburg and a displaced persons camp near Nuremberg in Bavaria. The film's sets were designed by the art directors Ernst H. Albrecht and Paul Markwitz. André Michel (director)
André Michel (7 November 1907 – 5 June 1989) was a French film director and screenwriter. He directed 15 films between 1947 and 1983. He is the father of novelist Natacha Michel who is also a political activist and militant. Hans Christian Blech
Hans Christian Blech (20 February 19155 March 1993) was a German film, stage and television character actor who found success in both Germany and Hollywood. He made his English film debut in the 1951 picture ''Decision Before Dawn''. In this and many of his other Hollywood films, he played a German soldier. He had a prominent role in the 1962 World War 2 blockbuster film, '' The Longest Day''. He served in the German Army and fought on the Eastern Front in World War II, where he may have acquired his facial scars. Another possible origin of his scars was a car accident on the Darmstadt Luisenplatz when Blech was 14 years old.
