The Confederation of Vocational Unions ( no, Yrkesorganisasjonenes Sentralforbund, YS) is a national trade union center, an umbrella organization of labour unions in Norway. It was established in 1977 as a non-partisan alternative to the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO). It is affiliated to the International Trade Union Confederation, the European Trade Union Confederation, the Council of Nordic Trade Unions and the Trade Union Advisory Committee to the OECD. Eldri Langåker (born 3 March 1944) is a Norwegian trade unionist. She worked in Televerket from 1962 to 1987, but had a long trade union career. Trade Unions Established In 1977
Trade involves the transfer of goods and services from one person or entity to another, often in exchange for money. Economists refer to a system or network that allows trade as a market. An early form of trade, barter, saw the direct exchange of goods and services for other goods and services, i.e. trading things without the use of money. Modern traders generally negotiate through a medium of exchange, such as money. As a result, buying can be separated from selling, or earning. Tore Eugen Kvalheim (born 4 March 1959) is a Norwegian trade unionist. An infantry captain in the Norwegian Army, he became chief of negotiation in the trade union Norwegian Military Officers' Association.
