Coney Lake
Coney Lake is a small alpine lake located in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness in King County, Washington. Coney Lake sits in a bowl formed by a rocky double cliff bifurcation of the south ridge of Lennox Mountain that connects to Coney's Cones-South Peak. Coney Lake is the origin of Coney Creek, which is a tributary of the west fork of Miller River. Lake Kanim is situated over the opposite side of the ridge as Lennox Mountain splits towards Canoe Peak. Coney Creek exits down over 1000 feet to a cirque making a waterfall that hugs a crevice along the cliff face of the south skirt of Lennox Mountain. Alpine Lakes Wilderness
The Alpine Lakes Wilderness is a large National Wilderness Preservation System, wilderness area spanning the Central Cascades of Washington (state), Washington state in the United States. The wilderness is located in parts of Wenatchee National Forest and Snoqualmie National Forest, and is approximately bounded by Interstate 90 in Washington, Interstate 90 and Snoqualmie Pass, Washington, Snoqualmie Pass to the south and U.S. Route 2 and Stevens Pass to the north. Lennox Mountain is an mountain summit located in King County of Washington state. Lennox mountain extends a ridge South towards Canoe peak making a bowl structure where Lake Kanim sits, the origin source of the North Fork of the Snoqualmie River. From Lennox Mountain a second ridge with rocky double cliffs is formed running East towards Coney's Cones-South Peak where the Coney Basin and Coney Lake sit which produces a tributary of the west fork of Miller River. Miller River
The Miller River is a river in King County, Washington. Named for 1890s prospector John Miller, it is a tributary of the Skykomish River, which it joins near the community of Miller River (which was, prior to World War I, known as Berlin). The Miller River is about long from the confluence of its main tributaries, the East Fork and West Fork. Miller River Campground is located just downriver from the confluence. West Fork The West Fork Miller River begins at the ridge dividing it and the Taylor River. It flows northeast from there, converging with the East Fork near the West Fork Campground. Its only officially named tributaries are Cleopatra and Coney Creeks. Cleopatra Creek drains a basin just north of the West Fork’s source while Coney Creek drains high-elevation Coney Lake. Lake Kanim
Lake Kanim is a set of small freshwater lakes located on a clif of the south skirt of Lennox Mountain, in King County, Washington. Lake Kanim is the nascent source of the North Fork of the Snoqualmie River. The lake and its accompanying waterfall were named after Jerry Kanim who was the leader of Snoqualmie people. Location Lake Kanim sits in a bowl formed by a ridge that connects Lennox Mountain and Canoe Peak. Shortly after the outflow, the river plunges into Kanim Falls, the biggest waterfall of the North Fork Snoqualmie River.
