Concordia Knurów
Concordia Knurów is a Polish Silesian association football club from Knurów, Upper Silesia. They have spent a significant part of their history under the name Górnik Knurów. Their primary colours are green and white and away colours are black. History Foundation and naming of the club The first section of KS Concordia Knurów, which actively functioned and had been successful - mainly in Silesia - was the palant section. In the years 1923-1926 there was a female section in the club playing "tamburyna", a five-a-side game which consisted of hitting the ball over a suspended string. At turn of the years 1922 and 1923, more than a dozen football fans helped in the creation of the football section. Founding meeting took place on 5 August 1923. The first chairman was Wojnar. Already in 1924, the club underwent the appropriate changes. The Knurów Coal Mine took patronage of the club. Knurów (; german: Knurow; szl, Knurōw) is a city near Katowice in Silesia, southern Poland. Knurów borders on the Upper Silesian Metropolitan Union, a metropolis with a population of two million. Knurów is located in the Silesian Highlands, on the Bierawka River, a tributary of the Oder River. History Knurów's history as a city is relatively short, as it only became a town in 1951, when also the settlements of Krywałd and were included within its town limits as districts. Wawel Kraków is a Polish multisports club based in Kraków, Poland. It was founded in 1919. Wawel Kraków was the first Polish club to win the Young Leaders Rally Cup back in 1952. They won the final against their rivals from Cracovia by beating them 5–1. The club was founded in 1919. The Polish Cup in football ( pl, Puchar Polski w piłce nożnej ) is an elimination tournament for Polish football clubs, held continuously from 1950, and is the second most important national title in Polish football after the Ekstraklasa title. Due to mass participation of teams, the tournament is often called ''The Cup of the Thousand Teams'' ( pl, Puchar Tysiąca Drużyn ). Participation is open to any club registered with the Polish FA, regardless of whether it competes in any league in the national pyramid. Reserve and veteran teams are also eligible, with reserve teams reaching the final on two occasions (and winning it once). Poland Ekstraklasa (), meaning "Extra Class" in Polish, named PKO Ekstraklasa since the 2019–20 season due to its sponsorship by PKO Bank Polski, is the top Polish professional league for men's association football teams.
