Concepción Castella García-Duarte
María Concepción Castella y García-Duarte (1889–1966) was a Spaniards, Spanish writer, in literature known by the name of Concepción Castella de Zavala. She was the author of some 25 novels, published between 1936 and 1950. Intended for a popular audience, they combined action and romance; they also promoted traditional values like patriotism, family and religion. As she embraced the Carlism, Carlist outlook, her prose is also saturated with Traditionalism (Spain), Traditionalism. Today her literary production is considered of minor importance and low quality; it is usually categorized as second-rate prose of early Francoist Spain, Francoism. She is mostly ignored by historians of literature, though she might be acknowledged when discussing novels related to Feminism, feminist threads or local Granada customs. Baena
Baena is a town and municipalities in Spain, municipality of Spain located in the Córdoba Province, Spain, province of Córdoba, Andalusia. It is situated near the on the slope of a hill southeast of Córdoba, Spain, Córdoba by road. The population of the town is 20,266 (2012). History The site of the Ancient Rome, Roman town (''Baniana'' or ''Biniana'') could still be traced as late as the First World War, with various Roman antiquities excavated from the site. In 1833, a subterranean vault was discovered, containing twelve cinerary urns with inscriptions commemorating members of the Pompeia gens, Pompeian family. Following the demise of the Caliphate of Córdoba, the town was ravaged by Berbers, bringing its prosperity to an end. Once conquered Córdoba, Ferdinand III of Castile, Ferdinand III rapidly acquired a number of towns in the Campiña—including Baena—in 1241, probably meeting no resistance.
