Comunardo Niccolai
Comunardo Niccolai (; born 15 December 1946) is an Italian former footballer, who played as a defender. Club career A tough, physically strong centre-back, Niccolai initially began his career with Torres in 1963, before joining Cagliari Calcio, where he played from 1964 to 1976, winning the only Serie A championship in the club's entire club history in 1970. He ended his career in 1977 with Perugia. Niccolai played 218 Serie A matches, and is still remembered today for his proneness to score own goals, including some very spectacular ones. International career Niccolai made three appearances for the Italy national football team in 1970, and represented the team at the 1970 FIFA World Cup, where he won a runners-up medal; he only appeared in Italy's opening group match, a 1–0 win against Sweden on 3 June, as he was replaced by Roberto Rosato in the 37th minute, after sustaining an injury which kept him out of the remainder of the tournament. Uzzano
Uzzano is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Pistoia in the Italian region Tuscany, located about west of Florence and about southwest of Pistoia. Uzzano borders the following municipalities: Buggiano, Chiesina Uzzanese, Pescia, Ponte Buggianese. History The origin of Uzzano's hilltop settlement dates to the Lombard period, though the first mention of it dates about 1000 AD, when its castle was in the possession of a noble family of Lucca, of Lombard lineage, who were ''signori'' of Uzzano and of Montichiari and Vivinaia.Today Montichiari and Vivinaia are communes in the province of Lucca. Manlio Scopigno
Manlio Scopigno (20 November 1925 – 25 September 1993) was an Italian professional football player and coach. Known as "il Filosofo" (the Philosopher), he is best known for coaching Cagliari to win their only Serie A title in 1970. Playing career Born in Paularo, in the province of Udine, he moved to Rieti at a young age. He began playing as a right-back for Rieti between the Serie C and Serie B. He moved to Salernitana, with whom he played in the Serie B; in the 1948–49 season, Scopigno played as a goalkeeper against Lecce due to 's injury; he conceded four goals. In 1951, he joined Napoli. After scoring his first Serie A goal against Como, Scopigno suffered a knee injury in 1951; this ultimately ended his career, as he only played a few more games for Napoli and Catanzaro.
