Comstock Northwest, Michigan
Comstock Northwest is a census-designated place (CDP) in Kalamazoo County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 5,455 at the 2010 census, up from 4,472 at the 2000 census. Geography The CDP is in the northwest portion of Comstock Charter Township, just northeast of Kalamazoo. It also includes a small sliver of land in northeast Kalamazoo Charter Township between the city of Kalamazoo and Comstock Charter Township. The CDP is bordered to the west by Kalamazoo and to the southwest by unincorporated Eastwood. M-343 is the main highway through the community. Great Meadow Correctional Facility is a maximum security prison in New York State in the United States. The prison is in Comstock, a hamlet right outside of Fort Ann, in Washington County, New York. As of September 3, 2008 it was home to 1,663 inmates. The Comstock Music Festivals are held on the 2nd Wind Ranch, north of the small community of Comstock, Nebraska. The annual music festivals, include Comstock Rock (Classic Rock), Comstock Windmill Festival (Country), and Godstock (Christian). These are Nebraska's largest music festivals, with Comstock Rock ranking among the largest in the United States, attracting over 50,000 attendees through the 4 days in mid July. Comstock Hall (Ithaca, New York)
Comstock Hall is a building of Cornell University, located in Ithaca, in the U.S. state of New York. It was built in 1985 in the modern style. The "old" Comstock Hall was built by New York State for the Entomology Department, but in the 1980s, it was sold to Cornell so that mainframe computers could be relocated from Langmuir Laboratory. As a result, a new, state-funded Entomology Department building was named Comstock Hall in 1985, and the historic building has been renamed the Computing and Communications Center.
