Complete Metric Space
In mathematical analysis, a metric space is called complete (or a Cauchy space) if every Cauchy sequence of points in has a limit that is also in . Intuitively, a space is complete if there are no "points missing" from it (inside or at the boundary). For instance, the set of rational numbers is not complete, because e.g. \sqrt is "missing" from it, even though one can construct a Cauchy sequence of rational numbers that converges to it (see further examples below). It is always possible to "fill all the holes", leading to the ''completion'' of a given space, as explained below. Definition Cauchy sequence A sequence x_1, x_2, x_3, \ldots in a metric space (X, d) is called Cauchy if for every positive real number r > 0 there is a positive integer N such that for all positive integers m, n > N, d\left(x_m, x_n\right) < r. Complete space A metric space (X, d) is complete if any of the following equivalent conditions are satisfied: :#Every

Complete Graph
In the mathematical field of graph theory, a complete graph is a simple undirected graph in which every pair of distinct vertices is connected by a unique edge. A complete digraph is a directed graph in which every pair of distinct vertices is connected by a pair of unique edges (one in each direction). Graph theory itself is typically dated as beginning with Leonhard Euler's 1736 work on the Seven Bridges of Königsberg. However, drawings of complete graphs, with their vertices placed on the points of a regular polygon, had already appeared in the 13th century, in the work of Ramon Llull. Such a drawing is sometimes referred to as a mystic rose. Properties The complete graph on vertices is denoted by . Some sources claim that the letter in this notation stands for the German word , but the German name for a complete graph, , does not contain the letter , and other sources state that the notation honors the contributions of Kazimierz Kuratowski to graph theory. has edges (a ...

Complete (BtoB Album)
''Complete'' is the first full-length studio album by South Korean boy group, BTOB. It was released on June 29, 2015. The album contains 13 tracks including a previously released bonus track "Shake It" from their fifth mini-album, ''Move'', and an acoustic version of their debut track "Insane". The group promoted with the title track "It's Okay". Background and release On June 4, 2015, Cube Entertainment announced that BTOB will be releasing their first studio album on June 29, 2015. This marks the start of BTOB's 2015 full-scale comeback activities. Ahead of comeback, BTOB notified the 180 degree different transformation of their style compared to previous promotions, with their first ever R&B ballad title-track "It’s Okay". "It's Okay" is expected to be reversal with a different level of BTOB's powerful vocal as weapon. They also stated that this transformation would show a more 'music influenced' side. "It's Okay" topped multiple music charts after its release, making it BTOB ...

Uniform Space
In the mathematical field of topology, a uniform space is a set with a uniform structure. Uniform spaces are topological spaces with additional structure that is used to define uniform properties such as completeness, uniform continuity and uniform convergence. Uniform spaces generalize metric spaces and topological groups, but the concept is designed to formulate the weakest axioms needed for most proofs in analysis. In addition to the usual properties of a topological structure, in a uniform space one formalizes the notions of relative closeness and closeness of points. In other words, ideas like "''x'' is closer to ''a'' than ''y'' is to ''b''" make sense in uniform spaces. By comparison, in a general topological space, given sets ''A,B'' it is meaningful to say that a point ''x'' is ''arbitrarily close'' to ''A'' (i.e., in the closure of ''A''), or perhaps that ''A'' is a ''smaller neighborhood'' of ''x'' than ''B'', but notions of closeness of points and relative closeness ...

Complete (The Smiths Album)
''Complete'' is a box set compilation by English rock band the Smiths, released by Rhino Records in the UK on 26 September 2011. Standard versions contain the band's four studio albums (''The Smiths'', ''Meat Is Murder'', ''The Queen Is Dead'' and ''Strangeways, Here We Come''), a live album (''Rank'') and three compilations (''Hatful of Hollow'', ''The World Won't Listen'' and ''Louder Than Bombs''), on 8 CDs or 8 LPs. A deluxe version contains the albums on both CD and LP formats, as well as 25 7-inch vinyl singles and a DVD. Content The box's liner notes state that "each album has been taken back to original tape sources and remastered by master-engineer Frank Arkwright, assisted by Johnny Marr at the Metropolis Studios in London". The discs in the CD version are presented in miniature vinyl replica sleeves, including the restored ''The World Won't Listen'' artwork. The project was managed by Gary Lancaster, who also worked on '' Total: From Joy Division to New Order'' and se ...

Completeness (statistics)
In statistics, completeness is a property of a statistic in relation to a model for a set of observed data. In essence, it ensures that the distributions corresponding to different values of the parameters are distinct. It is closely related to the idea of identifiability, but in statistical theory it is often found as a condition imposed on a sufficient statistic from which certain optimality results are derived. Definition Consider a random variable ''X'' whose probability distribution belongs to a parametric model ''P''''θ'' parametrized by ''θ''. Say ''T'' is a statistic; that is, the composition of a measurable function with a random sample ''X''1,...,''X''n. The statistic ''T'' is said to be complete for the distribution of ''X'' if, for every measurable function ''g,'': \text\operatorname_\theta(g(T))=0\text\theta\text\mathbf_\theta(g(T)=0)=1\text\theta. The statistic ''T'' is said to be boundedly complete for the distribution of ''X'' if this implica ...

Completeness (logic)
In mathematical logic and metalogic, a formal system is called complete with respect to a particular property if every formula having the property can be derived using that system, i.e. is one of its theorems; otherwise the system is said to be incomplete. The term "complete" is also used without qualification, with differing meanings depending on the context, mostly referring to the property of semantical validity. Intuitively, a system is called complete in this particular sense, if it can derive every formula that is true. Other properties related to completeness The property converse to completeness is called soundness: a system is sound with respect to a property (mostly semantical validity) if each of its theorems has that property. Forms of completeness Expressive completeness A formal language is expressively complete if it can express the subject matter for which it is intended. Functional completeness A set of logical connectives associated with a formal system ...

Completeness Of The Real Numbers
Completeness is a property of the real numbers that, intuitively, implies that there are no "gaps" (in Dedekind's terminology) or "missing points" in the real number line. This contrasts with the rational numbers, whose corresponding number line has a "gap" at each irrational value. In the decimal number system, completeness is equivalent to the statement that any infinite string of decimal digits is actually a decimal representation for some real number. Depending on the construction of the real numbers used, completeness may take the form of an axiom (the completeness axiom), or may be a theorem proven from the construction. There are many equivalent forms of completeness, the most prominent being Dedekind completeness and Cauchy completeness ( completeness as a metric space). Forms of completeness The real numbers can be defined synthetically as an ordered field satisfying some version of the ''completeness axiom''. Different versions of this axiom are all equivalent i ...
