Comoé District
Comoé District (french: District du Comoé) is one of fourteen administrative districts of Ivory Coast. The district is located in the southeast corner of the country, bordering Ghana to the east, Zanzan District to the north, Lacs District and Lagunes District to the west, and the Atlantic Ocean to the south. The capital of the district is Abengourou. Creation Comoé District was created in a 2011 administrative reorganisation of the subdivisions of Ivory Coast.Décret n° 2011-263 du 28 septembre 2011 portant organisation du territoire national en Districts et en Régions. Moyen-Comoé Region
Moyen-Comoé Region is a defunct region of Ivory Coast. From 1997 to 2011, it was a first-level subdivision region. The region's capital was Abengourou and its area was 6,921 km2. Tiapoum Department is a department of Sud-Comoé Region in Comoé District, Ivory Coast. In 2021, its population was 67,941 and its seat is the settlement of Tiapoum. The sub-prefectures of the department are Noé, Nouamou, and Tiapoum. Adiaké Department is a department of Sud-Comoé Region in Comoé District, Ivory Coast. In 2021, its population was 88,006 and its seat is the settlement of Adiaké. Aboisso Department is a department of Sud-Comoé Region in Comoé District, Ivory Coast. In 2021, its population was 361,842 and its seat is the settlement of Aboisso. The sub-prefectures of the department are Aboisso, Adaou, Adjouan, Ayamé, Bianouan, Kouakro, Maféré, and Yaou. Aboisso
Aboisso is a town in south-eastern Ivory Coast lying on the Soumié River. It is a sub-prefecture of the Aboisso Department for which it is also the seat of government. Sud-Comoé Region is one of the 31 regions of Ivory Coast. Since 2011, it has been one of two regions in Comoé District. The region's seat is Aboisso. The region's area is 7,240 km², and its population in the 2021 census was 784,893.
